Mick Mullay is an Echo Group partner and serves as Echo’s Vice President - Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Mick has over 20 years of international experience leading education, workforce development, and entrepreneurship and SME support projects funded by USAID, World Bank, and other donors in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine. He has consulted with multiple business leaders and worked closely with over 50 education institutions in introducing small business support services, MBA and Post Diploma Study programs, and specialized training and research activities tailored to local business demands. Mick has assisted universities in establishing quality control systems, faculty development programs, and working towards achieving international accreditation. As an adjunct professor, Mr. Mullay conducts MBA courses on entrepreneurship and project management. He has played a leadership role in establishing NGOs and education associations and worked with national ministries and agencies tasked with improving the quality and availability of education services and implementing workforce development strategies. During these efforts, he established lasting public-private partnerships uniting government, education institutions and international businesses such as Microsoft, Chevron, Citibank, Kraft Foods, KPMG, and others. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Consortium for Enhancement of Ukrainian Management Education (CEUME) and regularly advises education associations in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine.
Mr. Mullay earned his MBA in International Business at Portland State University and Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on small business management and entrepreneurism at Oregon State University.
