Natalya Makushkina

Natalya Makushkina has over 20 years of experience in higher education. She currently holds a position of associate professor in the Faculty of Economics at Siberian Federal University Institute of Management, Economics and Environmental Studies (Russia). She conducts research methods, human resource management, and compensation systems at Siberian Federal University Masters program accredited by European Council for Business Education. Ms Makushkina has also worked in business consulting for more than 20 years. The first consulting project involved forecasting employee attitudes towards privatization of their company. The main fields of consulting at present are labour standardization, personnel remuneration, organizational development, market evaluation. In 1995-1997 she was a consultant at Russian-American Small Business Development Centre RUSA at Krasnoyarsk State University financed by a grant from USAID. As a member of the Echo Group team in 2007 she provided assessment of small business assistance components of the USAID Business and Economic Education project in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and held training sessions on survey design, conduct, and analysis. Since 1998 she teaches at the Managers Training Program for the RF national economy organizations (the Presidential Program) provided by Siberian Federal University for executives of the Krasnoyarsk businesses. Ms Makushkina serves as an expert of Krasnoyarsk HR-Association and advises local HR-specialists. She has been also invited to give master classes for participants of III and IV Siberian HR Forum held in Novosibirsk (Russia), and to serve as a jury member at the All-Russian HR student contest.

Ms Makushkina earned her graduate degree in Economics of Labour at Krasnoyarsk State University (Russia), she also completed a post-graduate program on Scientific Management and Sociology of Labour at Leningrad Voznesensky Institute of Finance and Economics and an educational program on Sociology of Science at St.Petersburg Summer School of Sociology of Science and Technology. She received certificates of professional business trainer and professional business consultant from WSU SBDC. In 1999-2000 she received a Junior Faculty Development Program Fellowship from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State. She also has served as an intern at the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago.
